Why Still Got It

Ageing is inevitable. Losing your independence isn't.

Most exercise programmes are built around fitness — how far, how fast, how much weight. We're built around capability: the strength, balance and confidence to keep doing the everyday things that make life feel like yours.

Strength

Real, usable strength for lifting, carrying and pushing through daily life.

Balance

Reaction speed and stability that keep a stumble from becoming a fall.

Mobility

Joints and tissue that move freely, so getting dressed or gardening stays easy.

Power

The quick, forceful movement behind standing up fast or catching yourself.

Confidence

Trust in your own body — knowing you can handle whatever the day asks.

Community

Training alongside others, so staying active also means staying connected.

How It Works

A steady path back to full, capable movement.

1

Assess

We start by understanding your goals, how you move today, and where your confidence has quietly slipped.

2

Prepare

We rebuild the basics — better movement patterns, joint control and body awareness.

3

Build

Strength is added safely and progressively, tailored to your body and any past injuries.

4

Apply

Training shifts to the real movements of your life — stairs, floors, gardens, golf swings, grandchildren.

5

Thrive

You keep living independently — and keep coming back, because capability needs looking after for life.

Falls Prevention

Evidence-informed balance and confidence training that reduces fall risk without ever feeling clinical.

Strength for Everyday Life

Training designed around the lifts, climbs and carries of a real week — not a gym scoreboard.

Independence, Protected

Every programme is built to keep you living in your own home, on your own terms, for longer.

Why Strength Matters

The evidence behind every session.

Ageing changes the body — but resistance training changes the trajectory. Here's what the research shows.

3–8%

Average muscle mass lost per decade after age 30 without regular resistance training.

~85%

Of that age-related muscle and strength loss is preventable through consistent training.

~50%

Typical reduction in fall risk reported in older adults following balance and strength programmes.

2x

Roughly the difference in years of independent living reported between strong and weak older adults.

Figures are illustrative approximations drawn from general ageing and exercise-science research and should be confirmed against current published sources before publishing.

Meet Zinny

The coach behind every programme.

Zinny founded Still Got It after seeing how much life older adults were missing out on — not because of age, but because of avoidable strength and confidence loss. With a background in competitive kickboxing and a degree in Sport & Exercise Science, he brings a rare mix of rigour and warmth to every session.

  • BSc Sport & Exercise Science
  • 5+ years coaching experience
  • Competitive kickboxing background
  • Genuinely passionate about independent ageing

Why Trust Still Got It

The credentials behind the coaching.

Still Got It is newly launched — so rather than quotes, here's exactly what qualifies every session.

BSc Sport & Exercise Science

A full undergraduate degree in the science behind safe, effective training for the ageing body — not a weekend certificate.

Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training

Plus Level 2 Fitness Instructing — the recognised, industry-standard qualifications for delivering safe group and 1:1 sessions.

5+ Years Coaching Experience

Built through hands-on coaching, not just classroom study — including a competitive kickboxing background.

Fully Insured

Full liability insurance held for group and one-to-one sessions, in your home, a retirement village, or a community space.

100+ Older Adults Coached

A track record built one client at a time, focused on the strength, balance and confidence that matter for daily life.

Evidence-Informed Programming

Every session is grounded in published ageing and exercise-science research, not guesswork or trends.

The Capability Promise

We don't train for the scale. We train for your life.

Every session is designed to protect the things you actually want to keep doing.

  • Carry the shopping, unaided
  • Climb stairs without a second thought
  • Play with the grandchildren, on the floor
  • Travel with confidence
  • Keep gardening, kneeling and all
  • Walk confidently, wherever you like
  • Get up from the floor, unassisted
  • Stay independent, on your terms

Frequently Asked Questions

Good questions, honestly answered.

Who is Still Got It for?

Anyone who wants to stay strong, mobile and independent as they age — whether you're already active and want to stay that way, or you've noticed everyday tasks getting harder.

Do I need gym experience?

No. Most of our clients have never set foot in a gym. Every programme starts from wherever your body is today.

What if I have arthritis?

Arthritis is one of the most common reasons people come to us. Movement, done well, is one of the best tools for managing joint pain — we build around it, not through it.

What if I've had a joint replacement?

Coaching is adapted to your surgeon's guidance and recovery stage, with a focus on rebuilding strength and confidence safely around the joint.

Is it safe?

Yes. Every programme is evidence-informed, individually assessed, and progressed at a pace your body is ready for — safety always comes before intensity.

Do you come to retirement villages?

Yes — we regularly run on-site programmes for retirement villages, community centres, golf clubs and churches. Get in touch to discuss your community.

Can family members join?

Absolutely. Many of our clients train alongside a partner, sibling or adult child — it's often more motivating together.
